One half of Myrtle & Soap is based in London, UK. The company also has a studio in Reutlingen, Germany where the co-founder lives.

The idea for Myrtle & Soap came when cousins Anastasia and Ellie had a passion to create soaps and skin care products from the best quality natural ingredients. They started formulating natural soaps and cosmetics for their own use and very quickly found they were making for family and friends, until their popularity grew, and more and more people wanted to use them.

Anastasia, the creator of the products, lives in Germany and Ellie in the UK. Despite the distance, they were incredibly excited about launching the business and were adamant to find creative ways to bridge the distance between them. The name "Myrtle", a symbol of love, prosperity and positivity, was constantly in their minds to keep them moving forward with the idea and after lots of lengthy discussions, brainstorming and planning sessions, they decided to disregard the distance and make Myrtle & Soap a reality. They created and registered Myrtle & Soap in the UK and soon after the German company followed.

Today, despite Myrtle & Soap enjoying continued success, their products are still beautifully crafted by hand in a little studio with top quality natural and sustainably sourced ingredients. They also ensure they minimise their impact on the environment by packaging their soaps in biodegradable paper bags, and use glass or aluminium containers for their skincare products.
