This pack of two donut-shaped, biodegradable and highly durable multipurpose scourers is ideal for all your household cleaning needs! Being non-scratch, they are suitable for non-stick frying pans; great on hard surfaces like the cooker hob or stove top, and safe for enamel sinks and baths. However, coconut fibre is not suitable for plastic surfaces, as some scratching may occur.
Made ethically in Sri Lanka from coconut fibre (or coir as it is more commonly known) wrapped around a stainless steel wire. Coir is a natural fibre extracted from between the hard internal shell of the coconut and the outer coat of the coconut. As well as being totally natural, the scourers are naturally antibacterial, free from toxic chemicals, recyclable and biodegradable.
Plastic free. Presented in card box detailing the eco credentials of the product.
Each scourer measures approximately 10cm diameter.
Rinse after each use and store in a dry place. On first few uses you may notice some loose fibres or ‘dust’ but this will reduce over time.
Common cleaning products often use harsh chemicals to maintain antibacterial properties. The coconut fibre used in this product is naturally antibacterial and free from toxic chemicals. It is also recyclable and biodegradable.
EcoCoconut use sustainably farmed coconut fibre to make this product. Coconut fibre, or coir as it is more commonly known, is a natural fibre extracted from between the hard internal shell of the coconut and the outer coat of the coconut. It is a byproduct of the coconut harvesting process, and is considered a renewable and sustainable product since new crops of coconuts can be regrown repeatedly on the same trees.
EcoCoconut is an Australian brand created to give people the opportunity to choose biodegradable and sustainable coconut based products over plastic. EcoCoconut work directly with a manufacturer in Sri Lanka who have won multiple awards for eco manufacturing. The manufacturer has been trading for over 135 years and is a specialist in coir based products - a material that has been part of Sri Lankan daily life for centuries.
