This Ecoffee cup is made from naturally organic, biodegradable bamboo fibre and non-GMO corn starch, which feels a bit like thick, lightweight cardboard and should last for years if looked after. Bamboo is also naturally sterile so it won’t leave any taste residue. It comes with a re-sealable, non-drip lid and handy sleeve which are both made from matte, food-grade silicone, especially designed for hot liquids.
The Inca design has a bright, turquoise blue cup and a turquoise lid and sleeve. Comes presented in a natural card box detailing the cup's eco credentials.
Free from BPA and phthalates. Bamboo is one of the world's most sustainable resources, and is biodegradable too so at the end of it's life, the cup can be crushed and popped in with the compost. The silicone parts are recyclable.

The bamboo fibre does contain a small amount of melamine as part of the blend which holds all of the fibres together and makes it durable.
David also set up a #stopthe100billion campaign on social media to raise awareness about the number of single use cups going to landfill. Unfortunately most people still believe single use coffee cups to be recyclable, so aren’t aware that there is actually a problem. Initially #stopthe100billion was just a simple way to get this message across, but the campaign has now developed into a programme – running in conjunction with cafes and local government – to encourage cup reuse by offering discounts for doing so.
